CTO Craft Mixers: Dublin

​We’re excited to announce the next CTO Craft Dublin Mixer, taking place at Dogpatch Labs on Thursday, 5 November.

​This time, we opened the floor to the community for ideas and stories from engineering leaders, and we’re delighted to now announce our November speaker, Bryan Conneely, with “A SaaS Acquisition Retrospective.”

​Bryan was VP of Engineering at Sustain.Life, where he built and scaled the engineering team and product through to its acquisition by Workiva. He subsequently joined Workiva as Senior Director of Engineering, helping integrate the product and team into the larger organisation.

​Bryan will share a candid retrospective on that journey from an engineering leadership perspective: building and scaling before the acquisition, navigating the acquisition itself, and then experiencing what happens after the deal closes.

​We’ll explore the practical realities across engineering, product, teams, culture and technical strategy, what worked, what was harder than expected, and what Bryan would do differently with hindsight.

​As always, expect plenty of discussion and shared experiences, followed by networking, food and drinks with engineering leaders from across Dublin’s tech community.
