From Megawatts to Gigawatts: Washington's Clean Energy Progress and the Scale Shift Ahead
Join us for a discussion of the forces shaping Washington State’s grid, our clean energy progress over the last decade, and the scale shift required to deliver the gigawatts the next decade will require. Hear from:
Pat Hermann, Portfolio Manager, Seattle City Light
Ben Eidelson, Partner and Co-host, Stepchange
Therese Miranda-Blackney, Founder and Energy Strategist, Grid Future Strategies
Over the past decade, Washington State has made tremendous progress in deploying clean energy technology. There's plenty to celebrate, but we still have work to do in order to meet our clean energy ambitions. Building at a GW scale requires a different set of tools than the MWs we've delivered so far.
Panelists will explore the policy, infrastructure, and market shifts that have shaped clean energy in our state - including unintended consequences from decades past - and what it will take to be successful in the coming decade.
If you are interested in where Washington has been, where the state stands today, and what the path forward requires, please join us for a clear and grounded look at the scale shift ahead!
Doors will open at 09:45 and the discussion will begin promptly at 10:00.
