"The Im-AI-tation Game": Addressing New AI-Driven Security and Privacy Risks
Artificial intelligence is transforming every area of human life and it’s impact on cybersecurity will be no less significant. As we are increasingly seeing, AI is used to superpower personalised, sophisticated human social engineering attacks upon employees and customers. At the same time, AI can also greatly enhance an organisation's efforts to defend itself against these threats and to help protect user data and privacy.
While organisations invest heavily in security technology and privacy safeguards, some of the most persistent vulnerabilities remain human behavior, identity misuse, and data governance.
This event brings together our community to explore how the new capabilities of generative AI are transforming governance frameworks, attack and defense models, and how privacy, security and ethics must evolve to meet this challenge.
We're thrilled to announce that we'll be joined on the evening by an expert panel:
Blessing Usoro, Vice President Women4Cyber Ireland
Nicola Flannery, Partner, Privacy & Digital Trust, Deloitte
Dr Rachel Finn, Data Protection & Cyber-risk Services / Head of Irish Operations, Trilateral Research
The panel will be moderated by the excellent Caroline Goulding, Global DPO and DMA Compliance Officer at TikTok.
Our panelists will discuss:
The shifts in data protection and cybersecurity which have been driven by generative AI in the past number of years,
How to reconcile AI-enabled threat detection and mitigation with data protection and cybersecurity principles,
Practical governance models and approaches that align security, ethics, and regulation to address these risks.
This event will offer insightful outlooks for those shaping the next generation of cybersecurity and privacy policy.
Networking drinks to be hosted after the event.
