Forming part of the COP31 President's Action Agenda on Climate-Resilient Cities, seeking expressions of interest from city mayors and senior (c-suite, director-level) individuals from utilities, development banks and investors for this ~20-person roundtable in the UNFCCC Blue Zone.
Early RSVP strongly recommended.
Chaired by Bruno-Frédéric Baudouin, CEO of Kanadevia Inova.
Cities of all sizes worldwide depend on both waste and energy utilities to serve growing urban populations... how do we build these into the Climate-Resilient Cities of the future?
In many cities, utilities are treated as independent systems, yet integration can unlock new synergies and efficiencies.
Hosted by KVI and the REA, in partnership with the Resilient Cities Network, this roundtable will bring together senior leaders from city governments, utilities, development banks and investors for an exclusive, expert-led conversation concerning the future of urban design.
A look at KVI’s newly confirmed Casablanca Solid Waste Treatment and Valorisation Project and associated electricity offtake agreements will kickstart this exploration into how waste and energy infrastructure can be designed to more effectively support cities facing competing land-use demands, increasing energy demands, and waste management needs.
