Chop & Chat : September Mixer
Chop & Chat | AI edition
Eat something good. Talk about something interesting.
I've been experimenting a lot lately. In the kitchen: West African tiramisu (Toubamisu), coffee toffee cookies, plantain chocolate chip cookies.
At work and in life: AI, constantly. So why not put the two together?
"Chop" is a nod to Ghanaian chop bar culture, places built around good food and good conversation. This is my version of that.
What are we eating?
West African food, plus a tasting of the baked experiments: Toubamisu, coffee toffee cookies, plantain chocolate chip cookies, and probably another experiment or two because —> big back thoughts, big back execution.
What are we talking about?
AI: but not in a "47-slide presentation on the future of artificial intelligence" way. What we're actually using it for. What's made life easier. What we're building. What wasn't worth the hype. Where it still falls flat.
Maybe AI saved you hours. Maybe you tried the tool everyone was raving about and thought, "this is what y'all have been yelling about?" Maybe you're still figuring out what any of this has to do with you. That's the conversation.
What this is NOT
Not a workshop, panel, or AI 101 class. No presentations, no tutorials, no networking Olympics, and no reason to bring your laptop. Please leave it at home.
You don't need to work in tech or be an "AI expert." Come with something you tried, something you built, something that flopped spectacularly, or just come curious.
Good food. Interesting people. Honest conversation. Come hungry. Come curious.
The logistics:
🚗 Metered street parking, or garage parking ($20)
🚌 C55 bus stops nearby [connects from Waterfront, Navy Yard–Ballpark, and L'Enfant Plaza Metro]
