The motion: AI is a hindrance to fighting financial crime in the UK

Six individuals across finance, policy and academia will fight for and against the motion, with a moderator taking a vote at the end of the debate to see who has swayed the audience to agree with their side.

The debate will explore if the notion that AI will help in the fight against financial crime is all hype, if investment into AI is not necessarily the right (or only) move to heavily lean into, and whether this is just a tick-box exercise or if AI will really help the UK make real steps to fighting financial crime effectively.

Participants cannot attribute quotes to any panellists or take photos without the panellists explicit permission. Professional photos may be taken with explicit permission of audience members and participants.
