OrangeCollective.vc invests exclusively in AI companies from Y Combinator. YC is the world's leading tech accelerator; the median TVPI of dedicated YC investors is 5x; top decile is 16x.
We manage $39m AUM. Unusually, Y Combinator itself has invested in our fund, i.e., they're paying us to invest in YC's own companies before graduation. Our $10m anchor investor is Blue Opal, an emerging manager platform from Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund. Our first LP was Garry Tan, YC CEO, followed by Josh Kushner (Thrive), Adam D’Angelo (OpenAI), Felicis, FirstMark, Initialized, and over 150+ YC grads.
Our LPs evaluate each YC batch and help us gain access to the best companies. We live-publish our YC data to our proprietary portal and enable LPs to co-invest directly at no cost.
Blue Opal did more reference checks on us than almost any other LP, and then put their diligence memo into our data room.
LPs are getting in at cost in our first 13 companies, including Browser-Use and Mastra.ai. Our companies to date have raised $105m at an average 1.7x higher SAFE valuation cap.
