​Summons Lounge proudly celebrates the Glo Day of Poetic Aliyah & KD The Poet, headlining an intimate and powerful evening of spoken word, music, and creative expression, accompanied by Summons Review as the house band.

​Aliyah Douglass is a 28-year-old educator, poet, and community leader from Berkeley, California. A member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, she teaches kindergarten and founded HUGS (Hearts United in God’s Service), a nonprofit focused on serving the community and increasing access to resources. Though not new to Christ, Aliyah is newly embracing her identity as a citizen of God’s Kingdom. She began writing poetry in 2019 and now shares her work publicly as a reflection of faith, life’s journey and purpose.

​This special edition of Summons Lounge honors KD The Poet’s voice, artistry, and cultural impact—bringing together poetic depth, live instrumentation, and a curated atmosphere designed for connection and reflection. With Summons Review providing dynamic, live musical accompaniment, the night bridges spoken word and soul-driven sound in a cinematic, immersive setting.
