💌 The Lost Art of Letter Writing
Join artist Erin Nolan for The Lost Art of Letter Writing, a cozy Saturday morning workshop for slowing down and creating letters to loved ones that become little works of art.
💌 When was the last time you handwrote a letter or received one in the mail?
Not a brief and transactional “thank you” card, or a signed greeting card, but an actual correspondence with a loved one, pencil or ink on paper, thoughts well written with intention?
DMs and social media comments allow instant communication, fragmented thoughts or emojis in the place of words, created in the moment and demanding instant response. DMs are so much the norm, sending an email seems passé these days.
But do you remember the joy of opening your home’s mailbox, sorting through the bills and junk mail, and discovering a handwritten envelope from someone you care for deeply? Twinkling there in the pile like gold sifted from river rock? In this era of overstimulation and instant everything, perhaps it's time we bought back this tradition and updated it for the modern age.
☕ Grab a coffee and settle in. The table will be full of colored pens, stamps, stickers, and paper treasures.
In this hands-on creative experience, I’ll share tips and techniques from my popular visual journaling course to help you uplevel your letter writing game from the basics of pen and paper. We’ll explore a wide variety of ways you can put your creative heart and soul into a keepsake letter that truly illustrates care and appreciation for someone you love.
