About Los Ageless and Aging Wildly:

Questions about aging, memory, forgiveness, death, and the afterlife are the themes and topics that inspired writer/director Emily Manthei to write the feature film script LOS AGELESS. When her impact producer, Farida Rafique, suggested these were perfect topics for starting a broader conversation to reframe aging, the team decided to pair the film with a social impact campaign. While raising money for the film, our team realized that these real-life topics – aging, the representation of women over 60, anxiety about aging, and dementia (one of the most common mental health challenges among Seniors) – came up every day, in conversations with donors, our friends, and on social media.

We decided to take that real-time feedback and begin social impact conversations right away. And because it takes a lot less money to create a documentary web series than a feature film, we’ve started our campaign to reframe aging with exactly that: a web-based, short-form documentary series interviewing Seniors about the challenges, daily joys, life outlook, and spiritual practices that show the vibrant, dynamic side of being 60+.

Meanwhile, we’re also launching a fiscal sponsorship partnership with Breaking Through the Lens for our feature film, LOS AGELESS.
