Foundation Models for Biology: Bioptimus Showcase
Join us for an evening with Bioptimus, a global team building foundation models for biology. The team is here to show you what the models can do, including a live demonstration, so bring your laptop.
Ricardo Oliveira, Product Manager, opens with how the Bioptimus team thinks about building foundation models for biology and what it means for the researchers using them. Tokuwa Kanno, Head of Computational Biology, deep dives on capabilities and how the models are being used in translational and clinical research. Then Mara Tatari and Rachel Rosenthal, Computational Biology Leads, run a live demo you can follow along with on your own machine.
M-Optimus is Bioptimus's world model for biology, the first to combine histology, single-cell, and spatial transcriptomics in one system. It's built on the same foundation as H-Optimus-1, ranked first on PathBench (HKUST, 21 models, 229 cohorts) downloaded more than 1.8 million times and used in over 100 published papers
