Guava Voice AI Hackathon: Build Night Boston
Build a working voice agent in one day.
Guava Build Day comes to Boston. Doors at 12:00, kickoff at 12:30, code freeze at 4:30, demos at 5:00, awards at 5:45, hard stop at 6:00.
We ran the first one in San Francisco on August 29. Fifty-seven people came, and thirty-one working voice agents got built and demoed in about two hours. Five separate teams independently built a supervisory layer that listens to an agent in real time and stops it before it breaks a rule. Nobody asked them to.
WHAT YOU GET
Cash prizes across the top three, plus side prizes. Food and drinks all day. Guava engineers at the office hours desk from start to finish. Free Guava minutes on your own account to keep building afterwards.
ONE RULE
To be eligible, your agent has to place or answer at least one real phone call. A demo that never rings does not count.
WHO SHOULD COME
Developers and students who want to ship something that talks. Healthcare, finance, insurance, collections, legal, and anywhere else a phone call has rules attached. Teams of one to four. You can form a team when you arrive.
WHAT TO BRING
A laptop and a charger, wired headphones if you have them, and your phone. Run the install before you leave home rather than at the door.
