🚶Curious Walking Club - San Francisco 🇺🇸 | Friends of Screate Labs
We’re exploring Curious Walking Club in San Francisco.
We’re starting with people already connected to the Friends of Screate Labs network and seeing whether enough local energy comes together to make the first walk happen.
If you're in San Francisco and this sounds like your kind of thing, raise your hand.
Curious Walking Club is a global, recurring 5K+ walking ritual started by Hien Nguyen, our founder, under Friends of Screate Labs in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing founders, builders, and curious minds together across cities.
Every Thursday, we walk 5K+, meet interesting people, and let the conversations happen naturally.
Walk. Talk. Meet interesting people. Repeat.
No panels. No awkward networking. No fixed agenda.
Each walk starts with a question to get things moving: What changed your mind recently?
Past walks have wandered into:
• building companies from scratch
• moving cities and finding community
• AI, creativity, and the future of work
• unconventional careers and personal experiments
• the stories behind what people are building
The route changes. The people change. The conversations are the destination.
🌿 Who is this for?
Founders, builders, tech operators, creatives, researchers, and generally curious people who like meeting people outside their usual circles.
If you enjoy thoughtful conversations more than traditional networking events, you'll probably fit right in.
🚶 From one walk to a global network
Friends of Screate Labs is a global network by Screate Labs of founders, builders, operators, creators, and curious minds connected through shared experiences, rituals, and meaningful relationships.
Curious Walking Club is how we bring people together.
It started in Ho Chi Minh City on July 27, 2026 with Hien and a few friends. Six weeks later, the ritual had traveled to Singapore, Bengaluru, with Hanoi, New Delhi, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Sydney, and more.
The idea is simple: give interesting people a reason to meet in real life.
Every city has its own people, host, route, and rhythm. But the ritual stays the same: walk 5K+, have good conversations, and see who you meet along the way.
The ritual travels. People meet locally. The network stay connected globally.
🇺🇸 Why San Francisco?
SF is one of the places where a lot of the people in our network already spend time, so we're curious what happens if we bring the ritual there.
We're starting small: reaching out to people we already know and seeing whether they want to carry it locally. No big launch yet. Just seeing who shows up.
If you're in SF and want to help make the first walk happen, join the interest list, or bring someone you think would fit.
🚶 What happens next?
For now, we're gathering interest and looking for a few people who want to help make the first walk happen.
If enough of the right people come together, we'll find a local host, pick a route and date, and get moving.
San Francisco, let's see what you've got.
