BITCOINOLOGY #02: Stories from India’s Earliest Bitcoiners
In 2010, Bitcoin in India wasn’t a “market.” It wasn’t on TV. It wasn’t a career path. It was a handful of people scattered across cities, running nodes on shaky internet connections, trying to convince friends that some magic internet coins might actually matter.
There were no guides, no conferences, no support groups. Just curiosity, mistakes, late-night IRC chats, and a sense that something important was quietly unfolding.
This evening is about those people.
We’re bringing two of India’s earliest Bitcoiners together at Bitspace — not to give you polished lectures, but to share what it really felt like to be here at the beginning.
👉 Nitesh Singh: running a Bitcoin full node since 2010, when almost no one else in the country knew what that meant.
👉 Dr. Sathvik Vishwanath: Co-founder of Unocoin, who spent a decade building one of India’s first Bitcoin exchanges through bans, busts, and bull runs.

This is not an “entry-level intro to Bitcoin.” It’s also not a “hype-up the next cycle” session.
It’s closer to oral history... a rare chance to sit in a room with the people who were there at the start, and ask them the questions only they can answer.
