About Event

Proof of Good: The Bitcoin Birthday Ride

Touch grass. Ride together. Give back.

Bitcoin started with an idea. Let’s celebrate it with something good.

In Mumbai for Devcon? Join fellow crypto builders, founders and friends for a morning of cycling, conversations and giving back at Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

We’ll celebrate the Bitcoin whitepaper’s 18th anniversary with a forest ride, Guy Fawkes / Anonymous masks and an optional books-and-colours drive for children from Adivasi communities living inside the park.

📍 Location: Main entrance, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali East, Mumbai
📅 Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026
🕗 Proposed time: 8:00–11:00 a.m. IST
🎟️ Completely free to attend: We’re covering park entry, bicycle rental and all organised activity costs.

The ride

A relaxed community ride with conversations, breaks and fresh air. No racing. Just crypto people connecting beyond the screen.

We’re planning to wear Guy Fawkes / Anonymous masks together, subject to park approval. For riding, masks must allow clear vision and breathing and work safely with helmets. Otherwise, we’ll save them for the group photo.

The morning

  • 8:00 a.m. — Meet at the main entrance, introductions and bicycle collection.

  • 8:30–10:00 a.m. — Group cycling with breaks.

  • 10:00–10:45 a.m. — Optional books-and-colours activity, subject to local community and park arrangements.

  • 11:00 a.m. — Wrap up.

You should already be comfortable riding a bicycle. The final route and distance will be shared before the event.

Bring a little colour into someone’s day

If you’d like to contribute, you can voluntarily buy and bring colouring books, crayons, coloured pencils, drawing books, notebooks or age-appropriate storybooks.

This is entirely optional. You’re equally welcome if you simply come for the ride.

We’ll confirm the children’s needs, preferred book languages and distribution arrangements before asking anyone to purchase supplies.

Getting here from Jio World Centre, BKC

By cab: set your destination to “Sanjay Gandhi National Park Main Gate, Borivali East.” The route generally runs north via the Western Express Highway. Allow approximately 60–90 minutes as a planning buffer, and check live traffic before leaving.

By train: travel to Bandra railway station, take a northbound Western Line train that stops at Borivali, then exit on the east side and take an auto to the main gate.

Meet at the Borivali East main entrance, not Kanheri Caves or another entrance. Travel to and from the park is self-arranged.

What to bring

Comfortable cycling clothes, closed shoes, a helmet, water, sun protection and ID. Mask arrangements will be shared before the ride.

We’ll stay on permitted routes, leave no litter and respect wildlife and local residents. Please ask before photographing people, especially children.

Please RSVP so we can arrange bicycles. Final timings, bicycle availability, mask use and the community activity are subject to confirmation.

An independent community meetup for people visiting Mumbai around Devcon. Not an official Devcon event.

Come for the ride. Leave some good behind.
