The book explores Britain’s corporate leaders across the twentieth century the characters who reached the top, how they got there, and what their leadership tells us about performance, productivity, innovation, and the wider economy.
👤 Michael Aldous is a business historian and Senior Lecturer at Queen’s Business School, QUB, with a background at LSE. His work focuses on how leadership and organisational decisions shape firm performance and entire industries.
Michael's co-author, 📊 John Turner has been Professor of Finance and Financial History at Queen’s University Belfast since 2005. His research spans banking, financial markets, bubbles, and crises and what we can learn from them over the long run.
