AI for Legal: From Hype to a Working System
An evening for legal professionals in Bangkok, hosted by AI Strategy Institute × Harbour.Space
Everyone in legal is talking about AI. Few law firms or legal departments have actually made it work.
Most are stuck somewhere between "we should do something" and "but what about client confidentiality?" Meanwhile, the work that eats your days (research, drafting, reviewing, summarising, answering the same client questions again) is exactly the work AI is getting good at.
This evening is about getting from hype to a system that actually runs in your firm or legal department, safely. No vendor pitch, no buzzwords. Just a clear picture of what's possible, a hands-on exercise, and a practising lawyer showing how it's done.
What you'll take home
The big picture: why AI is becoming the new operating system for legal work, and what that means for how your firm or legal department works, delivers and competes.
Your own AI report: a hands-on exercise where you map your daily tasks and see what can be automated, what AI can augment, and where agents fit in. You leave with a personalised report.
How to do it safely: if your AI setup meets Germany's and the EU's standards (the strictest in the world), it holds up anywhere. Plus how to make your team's legal knowledge usable through context engineering, without exposing client data.
The evening closes with an open fishbowl panel with voices from Thailand's legal and business community. One chair on stage stays empty: take it, bring your question or your experience, and join the discussion.
Who it's for
Legal professionals in law firms and legal departments: partners, associates, general counsel, in-house teams, plus compliance and anyone else who works with legal questions and wants to use AI properly. You don't need a technical background.
