Lightning Talks, Mentoring & Connection
For students, tech and innovation leaders, and companies looking to connect with top talent.
In collaboration with Transcend UW, WACM, Women in Entrepreneurship, UW–Madison College of Computing and AI, Wisconsin School of Business, Madison Women in Tech and Women in Technology Wisconsin.
The Grace Hopper Celebration was canceled just two weeks before it was set to begin, and many UW–Madison students lost a chance to meet women leading and building careers in tech and innovation. We're bringing a bit of that experience home to Madison.
Join us the night before what would have been GHC's opening day for an informal evening bringing together students, women working and leading in tech, and companies from across Madison.
We'll start with a few short, candid lightning talks: honest stories about breaking in, facing challenges, building a career and leading in tech.
Then it's time to connect, whether you're a student looking for advice, a professional who wants to mentor and meet others in Madison's tech and innovation community, or a company looking to meet strong students.

Who should come
Professionals and mentors: women working and leading in tech, innovation, startups and investing in the Madison area who want to mentor students and connect with each other. Host a topic table or simply come to network. Men and allies who support women in tech are welcome to attend and mentor too!
Companies: meet some of UW–Madison's strongest students. Bring team members as mentors, or let us know if you'd like a table to share internships, co-ops and early-career roles.
Students: every major interested in tech, innovation or entrepreneurship is welcome.

About the Tech Exploration Lab:
