​Mitchell McCaig 
Product Technical Advisor, Startups

​Mitchell McCaig is a Technical Product Advisor on the Startups team at Amii. He helps Startups understand AI and machine learning, as well as ways to adopt this technology to impact their business and drive business value.

He comes to Amii with experience in both training and data science. He spent two years teaching English in South Korea. He pivoted from working in geology to data science in 2019, interning for AltaML and Calgary startup Memory Anchor. In addition to his position at Amii, Mitchell maintains a part-time position as a Data Science Mentor at Lighthouse Labs, a Canadian coding bootcamp.

Mitchell earned his BSc. with a specialization in Geology from the University of Alberta and a Data Science Diploma from BrainStation. He enjoys travelling, watching sports, playing soccer and gaming in his free time.
