About Event

Paper has been used for illumination for centuries. Across cultures and continents, wherever people needed to shape darkness, they reached for it.

This morning, you'll continue that tradition. Paper is a material that remembers—every surface retains a bit of the hands that touched it. It looks simple at first, but it reveals its quiet complexity once you start working with it.

You'll build your own lamp from scratch: structure first, then the paper, shaping the form with your hands as you go. I've done this enough times to guide you through the tougher parts, but I won't give you a rigid template. What you create will be uniquely yours because the process will be yours.

There are mornings you attend. This one you make. This is focused making—not loud, not quiet, but the unique energy of a room where everyone is working toward something real.

Good to know:

  • Each lamp is one of a kind, and selection of unique, textured papers to choose from.

  • Light bulb included.

  • Artist-led instruction.

  • Tea during the session.

  • No experience needed, ever.

You leave with a finished paper lamp, ready to use

Important details:

  • Intentionally small, limited to 7 spots per session.

  • Registration is non-refundable unless the session is canceled; however, it is transferable to a friend if your plans change.

  • All guests must be 18+ to attend.

  • When you purchase a ticket for our events, you will be automatically added to our monthly studio newsletter! Unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time.
