GainForest BioBlitz Challenge — Round 1 Pilot
We built Taina and Bumicerts for nature stewards. Now we're putting them to work.
The GainForest BioBlitz Challenge is a weekly biodiversity observation challenge running on Bumicerts. Every week, members of the GainForest Community Network go out into their local environments, document what they find, and submit observations through our platform. The AI helps with species identification, and your local knowledge makes the data meaningful.
Round 1 is live now, running from 26 June to 3 July 2026.

How it works
Go outside and observe anything living — plant, animal, fungi, bird, anything.
Upload your photos on Bumicerts (My Observations page) or via Taina, which you can find on Bumicerts.
Review the AI species ID. Confirm or correct it. Your knowledge matters.
Rounds close every Sunday. Winners are announced every Monday via email and the GainForest Community Network WhatsApp group.
Prizes every round
$40 for the most observations. $10 for the best photo. Paid in crypto. Plus a permanent winner badge on your Bumicerts profile.
