About Event

How do curators navigate the expanding terrain where art, technology, and culture converge? Interfaces: Between Worlds, Across Mediums features a panel of Singapore curators who will share insights into their practice and processes at the intersection of media, technology, and cultural meaning-making.

These curators work across vastly different contexts—from institutions to independent platforms, from broad to specific mediums, and across multidisciplinary and singular fields. Through examples from their curatorial projects, they'll explore how technology becomes a lens for examining Singapore-specific themes; how they cultivate emotional architectures within digital mediums while balancing spectacle and substance; and how they enable cross-pollination between conventional and emerging forms of art appreciation. Their distinct approaches reveal the benefits and tensions of institutional backing and independent agility, navigating the technical realities of presenting works, and addressing questions of scale, time, access, and risk. These presentations reveal curating as an act of mediation—between artist and audience, physical and digital, local and global, present and future.

As Singapore continues to position itself at the forefront of technological innovation, these curators are asking: What does it mean to make art accessible and meaningful? How do we democratise emerging technologies while maintaining critical depth? What new possibilities are emerging at the edges of current practice? Join us for a rapid-fire exploration of curatorial practice in flux, where boundaries dissolve and new interfaces emerge.

Registration is from 2.15pm-2.30pm. Latecomers may not be admitted. Entry is subject to the discretion of the event organisers.

Light refreshments will be provided after the session is over. Please join us in mingling with the speakers and CTSG members.
