

Workshop: Take control of your Maps! Create, host and share your own maps with OpenStreetMap and MapLibre
Maps are an essential part of digital infrastructure. For a long time, if you needed a map in your article, on your website or as part of a software product, you were reliant on solutions offered by big tech such as Google Maps.
Today, this is no longer true! Today, you can create amazing maps with just open data and open source. In this workshop you will learn how. You will get the theoretical background as well as the hands-on experience needed to create maps using an open maps stack with OpenStreetMap and MapLibre.
Prerequisites
You need to bring a laptop to participate
You should have a text editor installed, for example Visual Studio Code
Some familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) is helpful but not strictly required
