Hosted by the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the United Nations, in partnership with Stanford University's Natural Capital Alliance and the Enlight Foundation.
For more than half a century, Bhutan has pursued Gross National Happiness as the true measure of progress. On September 23, 2026, His Excellency Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan, will take the decisive next step: formally launching Bhutan's Gross Ecosystem Product (GEP), the first complete national account of natural capital.
