C2ES Hill Day: Advocating for the Critical Battery Materials Supply Chain
Overview
The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) is pleased to invite you to join us for our Hill Day on Thursday June 11, 2026 to present our Southeast region's Policy Roadmap to Congress and advocate for our shared priorities!
The event will include a series of meetings with staff and/or members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate representing states and districts from the Southeast region. We will be advocating around the federal policy recommendations for the battery materials supply chain included in the Policy Roadmap.
Before the fly-in, participants will receive training on the most effective ways of being advocates, and how best to communicate our collective priorities to their elected officials. Participants will also be able to decide which of the policy recommendations they are most comfortable advocating for, given their organization’s priorities, and will be grouped with other advocates accordingly. There will be C2ES staff in each group to ensure advocates feel comfortable and confident throughout the meetings.
This is the first step in voicing our collective priorities to Members of Congress, but it will not be the last. We look forward to kicking off our federal advocacy with you all this June and continuing to collaborate in advocating for these priorities.
Following the meetings on June 11th, we invite you to join us for a post-event reception at a nearby restaurant. Additionally, we will have an optional Capitol Hill Advocacy training ahead of the Hill Day.
Please RSVP by no later than May 8th, 2026.
C2ES will be coordinating a hotel block at a discounted rate, providing prep materials for all Hill meetings, sharing guides on navigating Capitol Hill, and we will have a C2ES representative in your group day of to manage any and all logistics.
Participation in this event is by invitation only. Please contact our team before forwarding.
We are looking forward to the fly-in, and hope you will be able to join us! If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to Shannon Wood ([email protected]).
