This fifth edition brings the European Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem from Paris to the Netherlands, gathering public sector and enterprise leaders, consultants, technology providers and service owners at Pathé Nijmegen.
Powered by Gebruiker Centraal, Ver.iD, ICTU and Gemeente Nijmegen, the event focuses on turning digital wallet ambitions into practical implementation.
As the 24th December 2026 deadline for public sector acceptance, and the 10th July 2027 deadline for financial sector KYC adoption draw closer, organizations are increasingly shifting their attention from strategy and experimentation to deployment and operational readiness. UNFOLD #5 provides a platform to address this transition.
Through keynotes, demonstrations, workshops and sector sessions, participants will explore how digital ID wallets and verifiable credentials can be applied across Public services, local government, banking, insurance, education, healthcare and business. The programme emphasizes practical lessons, customer journey, interoperability, governance and user adoption rather than technology alone.
A central theme is helping organizations move from exploration to execution. Attendees will gain insight into European developments, Dutch implementation initiatives and reusable blueprints that can accelerate deployment in their own organizations.
UNFOLD #5 also serves as a meeting place for the growing ID-wallets.nl community, connecting policymakers, service providers and Unfold ecosystem partners around shared challenges and opportunities. By bringing together Dutch and European stakeholders, the event aims to strengthen collaboration and support the responsible adoption of digital identity wallets.
More than a conference, UNFOLD #5 is part of an ongoing effort to build knowledge, share experiences and accelerate real-world implementation of trusted digital identity ecosystems in the Netherlands and across Europe.
