Intermediate Blueprints in Unreal Engine - Blueprint Communication - Full Day Workshop
If you’ve begun making blueprints in Unreal and find yourself asking:
“Am I putting this in the right class?”
“How do I get a reference to ___?”
“How do I call UI logic outside the UI I built?”
“When should I make an interface? A component? A new class?”
…then this workshop is for you!
Don’t cram all your logic into your level blueprint or player character, we’ve got you covered! This hands-on full day workshop will help you move toward building systems where objects communicate cleanly with one another. We’ll cover introductory best practices for modular design, methods for communicating between blueprints, UObject garbage collection, hard references, and even touch on advanced topics like world partition pitfalls, and game feature plugins.
This is the single most common pain point I see when students or indie devs start building their first games, and I’ve taken everything I’ve learned from teaching this subject for dozens of projects and packed it into one intensive day.
