Founding Blue Returns

​Founding Blue is back. In partnership with the Marine Research Hub of South Florida and Ocean Exchange, we're rebooting the series starting Wednesday, June 4 from 5:30–7:30 PM at the Marine Industries Association of South Florida in Fort Lauderdale.

​Same format you remember: South Florida's blue economy, marine, and tech founders, investors, and operators in one room. Drinks, conversation, and the people actually building this ecosystem.

​This time we're bringing in a special guest panelist: Mark Volchek, Founding Partner of Las Olas Venture Capital and co-founder of Higher One, which grew from a college startup to a NASDAQ-listed company serving 13 million students. Mark has backed 30+ companies and currently chairs the Florida Venture Forum. He'll be joining the conversation on what it takes to build and fund companies at the intersection of technology and the blue economy.
