Guided Tour of UC San Diego's Kendall-Frost Mission Bay Marsh Reserve
To celebrate SD Climate Week, UC San Diego Natural Reserve System is offering a guided tour to community members who want to learn more about the Kendall-Frost Mission Bay Marsh Reserve!
We will talk about:
-The biological significance of marshes, and in particular the Kendall-Frost Mission Bay Marsh Reserve.
-Current threats impacting San Diego's wetlands and marshes, including climate change, rising sea levels, pollution, urban development, etc.
-What the public can do to protect and preserve the marsh.
-Meaningfully recognize and honor the Indigenous peoples and communities with ancestral and ongoing relationships to this coastal environment.
Participants must sign a waiver onsite.
Come prepared with comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and water.
