Save the date: Putting users on the map
About the event
Inspired by Helen Cann’s Map of Civil Society, Inka will facilitate this session where the aim is to collaboratively re-draw the map of Brighton’s creative sector. The workshop combines elements of journey and empathy mapping with real world geography and city planning. No drawing skills needed as this hands on workshop is in a board game-style format perfect for fans of Carcassonne and Cascadia. Participants gain a better understanding of the town planning challenges when it comes to supporting creative working spaces, and how user research can help uncover the solutions. The mapping exercise will highlight our own attitudes of what an ideal city looks like and it challenges us to draw up a new mental map that makes space for other users’, residents’ or creatives’ needs.
About Inka
Inka is the Head of Product at Honeydew Health Ltd. She leads a small cross-functional team of software developers and designers.
Over the past 14 years, Inka has had the opportunity to design and build 2 online platforms at Honeydew. She is currently overseeing the re-design of both applications giving her an opportunity to implement major usability improvements and develop expertise in managing legacy code.
Due to the small size of Honeydew as a company, Inka has had the opportunity to see the lifecycle of product development from all sides. She has designed and tested features, as well as onboarding users and supporting them with ongoing queries. More recently she implemented a user research practice to invite users more regularly to participate in test sessions.
Inka has been an active member of LTUX since 2023. She was part of the organising team of Talk UX in 2025 and until recently acted as a Non-Executive Director of LTUX Brighton.
