Confident Enough to Be Messy: Taking Action Without Perfection

Join us for a strategic session on breaking perfectionism and building momentum for early-stage founders. Led by Remy Meraz and Julian Lewis, co-founders of Zella Life.

One of the biggest things holding founders back isn't a lack of ideas, strategy, or ability. It's waiting to feel ready. Too often, founders sit on the pitch, product, offer, content, or decision because it isn't "there yet." But confidence rarely comes before action. The founders who move forward, even when it's messy, get something far more valuable than perfection: real feedback, real data, and the information they need to make their next move better.

In this interactive session, Remy and Julian use Zella Life's behavioral loop to get underneath perfectionism and understand what's really driving it: what you believe being imperfect says about you, the emotion that belief creates, the behavior it drives, and the business result that follows. From there, you'll learn practical tools to interrupt the loop, take action before everything feels finished, and use real-world feedback to build stronger decisions, greater confidence, and better business outcomes.

Who this is for

  • Founders sitting on a pitch, product, price, or decision that isn't "there yet"

  • Founders who move fast on everything except the thing that actually matters

  • Founders who've noticed the same hesitation show up in fundraising, hiring, and selling

What you'll walk away with

  • What's actually underneath "I'm not ready yet." Whether it's fear, perfectionism, or discomfort stepping into your identity as a founder and CEO.

  • How the loop works. Your beliefs about being imperfect create emotions that shape your behavior and your business results — and where to interrupt it.

  • Where the pattern repeats. The same confidence pattern shows up in pitching, selling, hiring, delegating, investor conversations, and decision-making.

  • Imperfect outcomes as data, not failure. Building confidence through action and real-world evidence instead of waiting to feel ready first.

About 1752vc Startup Programs

1752vc runs operator-led Startup Programs built for founders who want rigor, not feel good praises.

Launchpad is a program designed for founders in the ideation or early stages of prototype development. It helps founders validate their ideas and demand while starting to build something that can gain initial customer validation.

Ignite is designed for startups that have an MVP but may not yet have customers. The program focuses on developing essential strategies for achieving sustainable growth. It covers all the steps a startup seeking venture capital must master, including team building, go-to-market strategies, and fundraising.

GTM is designed for companies that have gained initial traction, including a few customers and some revenue, all achieved through founder-led growth. The program aims to enhance the founders' skills in developing repeatable and scalable sales processes. In the short term, this will help increase sales, while in the long term, it will establish procedures for employees to follow.

DTC is a program designed for CPG companies with products ready for distribution. Its main objective is to leverage data to build a strong brand identity and implement growth hacking strategies for acquiring, maintaining, and upselling or cross-selling customers through omnichannel strategies.
