Patricia Thaine | Co-Founder & Chair, Limina
Patricia Thaine is the Co-Founder and Chairwoman of Limina, a Microsoft-backed AI startup building the privacy layer for data. Limina helps organizations identify, redact, and protect personally identifiable information across 52 languages in text, audio, images, and documents.
Named a World Economic Forum 2023 Technology Pioneer and featured on Maclean's Power List in AI, Patricia built Limina out of her graduate research at the University of Toronto, where she studied computational methods for deciphering lost languages. She is also the host of The Data Frontier Podcast and co-author of the upcoming PII Minimization Handbook.
Margaret Wu | Lead Investor, Georgian
Margaret Wu is a Lead Investor at Georgian, a Toronto-based growth equity firm investing in AI-driven technology companies. Over eight years at Georgian, she has led investments and sits on the boards of companies spanning AI, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and enterprise software, including ClickUp, You.com, Xanadu, and Dominion Dynamics.
Before venture, she built her career across consulting at Accenture, startup operations, and product management at Amazon UK. She holds an MBA from Cornell Johnson and a degree from the University of Waterloo.
Ania Halliop | Senior Director, GitHub
Ania Halliop is a Senior Director of Engineering at GitHub, where she leads engineering organizations of over 160 engineers and managers across North America and EMEA, delivering AI-driven developer experiences at scale. Before GitHub, she served as Head of Software at Waabi, helping build the engineering foundation of a next-generation self-driving technology company from day one.
She holds a BSc in Computing and Information Science from Queen's University and is also a certified coach, with over 15 years of experience growing technical leaders and driving organizational change across the Canadian tech ecosystem.
