About Event

We're excited to welcome Brett Stuart back to Future Film for a special screening of his new short film, NULL, followed by a Q&A about the making of the film.

Brett is an AI film director and pipeline architect operating at the intersection of Hollywood's professional infrastructure and AI-native filmmaking. He is the founder of ti.studio, where he is now focused on directing original work after spending the past year helping build the AI filmmaking division at Staircase Studios from the ground up. He directed Christmas at Godfrey's, the SAG-AFTRA approved AI short starring Fred Melamed, Ana Cruz Kayne, and Ben Lloyd-Hughes.

Brett previously joined Future Film for a wide-ranging conversation about directing at the edge of AI and Hollywood, and we're thrilled to have him back for a deeper look at his newest project.

NULL is a 15-minute short film Brett directed solo at ti.studio in 4 days, using 250,000 Runway credits. As Brett wrote when he released the film: "The all nighters nearly broke me, but this is the thing I'm most proud of making in film or AI."

In this session, we'll watch the film together, then talk with Brett about what went into making it. The creative decisions, the workflow, the tools, the pressure, the limitations, and what it actually takes to make a finished AI film at this level.

For anyone working with these tools, or trying to understand where AI filmmaking is really headed, this should be a practical and honest conversation with someone building and directing at the professional level right now.

You can watch NULL here before the session if you'd like: https://youtu.be/X0gghgl6XSY

We'll also screen the film together at the start of the session, so you can either watch in advance or experience it with the group.
