Pre-seed Sessions by Techstart Ventures

​A relaxed conversation where we’ll give a rundown of VC in general and how it differs to other types of investment, what type of projects it’s a fit for and how we look at opportunities. There are no stupid questions, and you don’t have to be actively fundraising to take part.

​Techstart Ventures is an inception to pre-seed VC which invests in outlier founders pursuing uncapped global opportunities from a base in Scotland. We’ll explain what we mean by that during the sessions.

​We believe that outlier founders and venture capital are widely misunderstood here, but that globally important companies can and will be built from a Scottish base. This is why we exist.

​Our first cheques are normally between £200-750k in rounds that are typically up to £2m,  but we frequently break our own rules. We don’t need PMF or revenue to make an investment, and we’re often the first to believe, which means we typically lead, co-lead or invest solo in first rounds. We also have significant follow-on capacity and often co-invest alongside other top-tier VCs from London, Berlin, San Francisco, and New York.
