Magical Storytelling circle with Joei
A few weeks ago I sat with a group of strangers and we told each other stories. We all left feeling so seen, so connected, and so supported. Some of us even realized the story we told had a bit of magic in it, a sign, a coincidence, a moment we couldn't quite explain.
It reminded me how healing stories are, how they help us reauthor our lives, feel less alone, and connect with each other. And how refreshing it is to hear real stories from real people, instead of polished AI slop online.
This is why I started the Magical Storytelling Circle.
We all have stories to tell. This is a space to tell them.
It'll be casual, fun, and I'll guide with prompts. We'll share, listen, and witness each other's magic.
A participant from the first edition put it better than I could: "It was an hour of whimsy I didn't know I needed."
✨You'll leave with:
Your imagination, creativity, and magic, switched back on
A clearer sense of the story only you can tell, and the confidence to tell it
Real connections with people who witnessed your magic

What people said after the last circle:
"I had lots of realisations. One was that I'm trying to be too serious and it really doesn't suit me. I've always been happy and skippy and fun and I realized I've been trying to fit myself into a serious box. It doesn't make me happy!" - Lorna
"I really enjoyed the magical storytelling circle! It was a safe environment where we feel comfortable to share our stories in a playful way. I realised that I could easily see the superpower of my partner, which helped her to believe in her magic. This has revealed that mirroring is also my superpower." - Chenyue
"It felt so refreshingly simple to connect with complete strangers through storytelling. In such a short amount of time, I learned so much about the other people in the room, and it all happened so naturally. It was a beautiful reminder that meaningful connections don't have to be complicated." - Hella
"I loved it! Everyone came up with such unique ideas and stories, and it is beautiful to see that, especially when everything seems to be AI written these days.. I love hearing other peoples true voices! I left feeling super inspired!" - Katharina
"There's something particularly magical about framing our fears, wishes, loves as a story to be told and to keep telling. It's a reminder we are authors of our lives. We can write another chapter, a new ending, hell, even create a sequel or prequel." - Sarah
"What a wonderful space to gain a new perspective. I loved the different ways stories were told and all the possible outcomes. I am looking forward to the next one." - Carli
"That one hour spent in a room with such creative and gentle people reminded me of what connection can feel like with thoughtful professionals. I loved how spontaneous and unconventional the whole experience was (in all the right ways)." - Lili
"...it was an hour of whimsy I didn't know I needed." - Dolores
"Something out of the box different. A way to connect in an entirely different way. It was really cool." - Lily
About your host
I'm Joei, a magical storyteller who spent 12 years helping billion-dollar tech companies tell their story. Turns out I'm far more interested in the human ones, especially the ones that feel like magic. I created this circle because I needed it too.
