Founder Led GTM — Series · Session 1: Grounding Your Go-To-Market

Hosted by the Silicon Valley East Bay Founders Group · Online · Facilitated by Rob Moyer

In the early days, most founder go-to-market is a scramble. You post when you remember, reach out when you have time, follow up when you think of it. That's not a go-to-market. This session turns the scramble into a foundation.

We'll ground what a founder should actually be doing early, across the two layers that matter: Strategy (your foundation: who you're for, why now, which motion) and Execution (the weekly engine that runs it). This is the operator model: you run go-to-market as a system instead of a scramble, and AI now lets one founder operate what used to take a team. It's live and interactive. Vote on where we go, pressure-test your own GTM, and run one AI exercise on your own business you can act on the same day.

The hour:

  • A live read of the room

  • The arc: we covered ICP and IPP in past sessions. Today we ground you in the foundation

  • Strategy: your foundation in three answers, plus a live diagnostic

  • Execution: the operator model, GTM as a weekly loop, and the exact stack one founder runs a business on

  • Live: reverse-engineer your buyer with AI

  • Where the room goes next

For: Early-stage founders owning their go-to-market, pre-seed through Series A, first-timers welcome.
Bring: Laptop or phone, a Claude ChatGPT Gemini account, and your website or a one-line description.

Session 1 of a quarterly room. Each one grounds a layer, always with something you can run the next day. Follow the series: luma.com/eastbayfounders
