V11 Seminar Series | The Macroeconomics of AI

​What will the economy look like under strong AI?

​Will it push the value of labor to zero causing mass unemployment and wage loss? Will the economy simply chug along at 2% annual growth, bottlenecked by non-automatable sectors of the economy? Or will it takeoff, powered by an ever-increasing cycle of AI-enabled research and physical AI, radically reshaping the world and the human experience?

​If any of those questions keep you up at night, this seminar is for you.

​We tackle these questions through the lens of Nobel Prize winning research on automation, wage dynamics, and economic growth -- using technical frameworks and math rather than ideology and vibes to understand what transformative AI will actually do to our world.

​The seminar will include a 45 minute talk followed by 15–30 minutes of open Q&A and discussion. Venue TBA.
