Mobilising European and international finance for solar energy in emerging markets and developing economies

​This high-level exchange will convene experts from different organisations to discuss key topics, i.a.:

• ​Lowering the cost of capital & blended finance: How concessional capital and blended structures can de-risk projects and attract private investors into higher-risk emerging markets.

• ​Strengthening European industrial competitiveness abroad: Identifying how development cooperation can support European solar developers to expand into third markets, benefitting both partners countries and EU competitiveness.

• ​Aligning policy and public finance to scale markets: How EU initiatives, e.g. the Global Gateway, can effectively mobilise investments, especially in strategic sectors such as solar PV and BESS.

​This open roundtable will allow every participant to share their insights with the rest of the attendance and to participate in a lively discussion.

​The event will end with a networking session, accompanied with a light lunch.
