Fred Wookey Jr. is the founder and owner of MRI, with more than 38 years in chemical industry operations and logistics. He founded MRI in 1986 after a distinguished career at Sun Company, where he directed the supply, refining, and distribution of the lubricants business, managed Sun's national customer service group, led one of the earliest corporate ERP implementations in the country, and guided a major corporate merger. In 1983, the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce asked him to lead the business and administrative functions of the School District of Philadelphia, where he earned widespread acclaim for achieving fiscal stability and labor peace. As a consultant, Fred has worked across marketing, manufacturing, and logistics with chemical blenders, distributors, food firms, and public utilities. He holds a B.A. from Heidelberg College and completed advanced transportation management study at Northwestern.
