vulnz.ch is a technical gathering where Zurich-based software and AI defenders and hackers share mitigations they've built, bugs they've found, research they've done, projects they've worked on or tinkered with, and papers they've read.

The sixth edition will feature a presentation by visiting speaker Ionuț Cernica (LinkedIn): “Objects That Never Existed: A Reconstruction Failure Class in LLM Pipelines”. The presentation will examine a failure class distinct from prompt injection, in which frontier LLMs reconstruct structured data as containing more objects than are actually present. It will cover experiments across four models (including a configuration that produced zero correct outputs in 400 runs) demonstrations in production systems, and why current defences fail to detect the problem.
