Four years ago we started something simple. A table where the most interesting people in our world could sit down, breathe, and actually talk to each other during the most chaotic week of the year.
No lanyards. No pitch decks. No one asking what you do before they ask who you are.
This November the table comes to Lisbon.
Why Lisbon, why now
Web Summit brings 70,000 people to this city. Founders, investors, operators, the people building what comes next. What it does not have is a room where the diaspora sits down together and talks about the thing most of them are actually building at, the place where culture becomes a company.
That is the whole point of this dinner. Everyone at this table is building something at the intersection of culture and technology. Music, media, film, fashion, events, AI, apps, capital. Different lanes, same instinct.
Web Summit runs on SaaS and spreadsheets. This is the night it runs on rhythm.
What the evening looks like
A long table. Portuguese fusion flavours on the same plate, cooked for this night specifically. Three courses, taken slowly, because the food is the excuse and the conversation is the point.
Live music as the room settles. Toasts before dessert. Phones down for those.
Fourty seats. Founders, investors, creative directors, agency leaders, operators. People who move quietly and build loudly.
By Wednesday of Web Summit week you will have been talked at for three days. This is the night somebody listens.
The energy
Warm. Grounded. Unhurried. Nobody performing.
The Diaspora Dinner is a reset in the middle of the week, not another event on the stack. You will leave with two or three relationships that matter, which is a better return than most people get from the whole conference.

Every seat includes the full three-course dinner and drinks through the evening.
We keep a portion of the room by invitation, which is how we protect the balance of who is at the table. If you are applying rather than invited, tell us what you are building. It genuinely matters more than your title.
A few things to know
Seats are strictly limited. We do not expand the list, and we have never expanded it in four years.
The location goes to confirmed guests only, one week before.
Dress how you would to see people you respect. No dress code beyond that.
No refunds. If you cannot make it, tell us and we will try to pass your seat to someone on the waiting list.
Why this one matters
Web Summit has a hundred parties. Most of them are the same room with different lighting.
This is not a party. It is a table. The first one in Lisbon, and if the last four years are anything to go by, the one people will still be talking about in 2027.
