Tufa Talks episode 4 - Max Rumpf (SID)
Curated and hosted by Matteo Saponati in collaboration with Tufa Labs, an independent research group working on fundamental AI research.
Join us! Our goal is to share the latest ML research and foster open discussion and collaboration among ML researchers in Zürich.
Speaker: Max Rumpf (SID)

Max Rumpf is an entrepreneur and researcher, currently the co-founder and CEO of SID.ai, an AI research lab for search and retrieval with offices in San Francisco and Zürich. He is driven by the conviction that intelligence is inconsequential without context, and that search, tackled as a first-class RL problem rather than a simple embedding lookup, is the real bottleneck between today's models and genuinely useful AI. He co-founded SID.ai with Lotte Seifert in 2023, after working as a researcher in the SAFARI group at ETH Zürich on hardware-software co-design for machine learning systems.
