FAQ
The Schützen-Festzelt (Tent): We have a reservation at the Schützen-Festzelt, one of the 14 main tents. It is located in the southern end, right at the foot of the iconic Bavaria statue. The tent is famous for its authentic, cozy atmosphere, attracting a lively mix of locals and international guests.
Dress code: Of course you can wear traditional Bavarian outfits (Dirndl/Lederhosen), but it's also fine to simply come in smart casual attire. We only recommend firm shoes or boots, because you will stand/dance a lot and the floor can be wet from all the beer. So come prepared 😄
Bags/Luggage: Because of general security rules, you are not allowed to bring any larger bags, including backpacks and suitcases on to the Oktoberfest area. Small hand bags for woman are fine. There is security staff who enforces this at all entries. Therefore, please leave your bags in your hotel or at our Signicat office.
Food & Drinks: Oktoberfest is famous for its Beer and hearty Bavarian cuisine. Nonetheless there will be vegetarian/vegan and alcohol free options as well. We will preorder a Menu for all tables, therefore please make sure to fill your dietary restrictions.
Money/Cash: Of course food and drinks are on us. But in case you want to continue after our event, we recommend to bring cash (EUR). While some vendors may accept cards, cash is strongly recommended. ATMs are available on the grounds, but they often have long queues.
How to get home: The most convenient way to get back to your hotel is via public transport. There is three U-Bahn (subway) stations around: Theresienwiese, Schwanthalerhöhe and Goetheplatz. Alternatively, there is taxis at all area exits.
