About Event

Join us for a day of project showcases, ideas, and conversations with students, builders, and enthusiasts from across the tech industry.

Whether you're working on a side project, exploring new technologies, or simply interested in seeing what others are building, Demo Day is an opportunity to connect, learn, and share in a low-pressure, collaborative environment!

We'll feature a curated selection of student projects, followed by plenty of time to network, exchange feedback, and meet people with similar interests.

Attendees?

Attendance is free, but due to space limitations, there will be limited spaces within the venue. We will start by accepting the first 35 registrations to send out a confirmation attendee ticket.

After our capacity is reached, new registrations will be placed on the waitlist. (If you have a ticket but cannot make it, please cancel your ticket to provide space for someone else).

Presenting? Do you have a project you want to showcase? Try applying to the Demo Application! (psst, maybe you'll get the prize).

We're particularly interested in projects related to FEIT disciplines, including software, AI, data science, cybersecurity, robotics, embedded systems, engineering, and other technology-focused work.

If you think your project doesn't fall into any of these, just try applying anyways! We'll always be open to accept fresh new ideas!

Projects do not need to be fully polished. We welcome prototypes, personal projects, research work, hackathon projects, and works in progress that showcase interesting ideas, technical challenges, or learning experiences.

Judging Criteria

Selected presenters will have their projects evaluated by our judging panel across the following criteria:

  1. Difficulty of Build The technical complexity, engineering effort, and problem-solving involved in developing the project.

  2. Functionality How well the project works in practice, with preference given to projects that can be demonstrated live rather than presented solely through slides.

  3. Clarity of Explanation The presenter's ability to clearly communicate the project's purpose, design decisions, and value to the audience.

  4. Originality Creativity, innovation, and the uniqueness of the idea or implementation.
