LogicallyDrafted presents Legal AI: Behind the Hype
A candid peer roundtable on what is actually happening with AI in legal.

Join us in the private Barolo room at Maggiano’s Little Italy, where we’ll enjoy a classic three-course Italian lunch - perfect for fuelling thoughtful, candid conversation..

Wednesday 6 May | 12:00am - 13:30pm peer-to-peer roundtable over lunch

The Legal AI: Behind the Hype series is designed for those shaping legal tech strategy, creating space for honest, peer-led conversations about what is actually happening beyond the conference narrative.

In many firms, innovation and knowledge roles are run by very small teams, sometimes a single person, which can make it difficult to sense-check decisions or understand what is actually working in practice. At the same time, most firms feel behind and assume others are further ahead, when in reality the position is far more even.

We will start with a short (15-minute) introduction from one of the LogicallyDrafted team, an ex-attorney turned LegalTech specialist, setting context on where AI drafting in legal stands today. This will cover:

  • The gap between capability and reality in drafting with LegalAI

  • Why deterministic structure still matters in law

  • How the verification problem can quickly erode perceived efficiency gains in legal work

The roundtable discussion over lunch will then focus on:

  • Where initiatives have stalled and what got in the way

  • What tools are actually being used day-to-day by attorneys, and what has sat on the shelf

  • How others are navigating the gap between capability and adoption

  • How uptake of new tools is shaping training and development of juniors.

Format

The session is designed to be focused, practical, and discussion-led:

  • 11:50 - 12:00 | Arrival

  • 12:00 – 12:15 | Keynote and Starters

  • 12:00 – 13:00 | Lunch and Roundtable discussion

The aim is for participants to leave with:

  • A clearer view of the market

  • A better understanding of how others are approaching the same problems

  • Practical perspectives grounded in real-world experience

  • A sense that you are not solving these challenges in isolation
