Building neural nets for the markets and trading
After selling Tubi in 2020 to Fox, fellow Seattle PEFer Thomas Ahn thought he’d likely retire and “relax”. However, he began to follow his interest in neural nets, markets and trading and started to build a team around it, creating FairEdge to put his learnings into practice.
As many of our fellow PEFers are interested in investing, neural nets and the markets, we thought we’d invite Thomas to come talk about what he’s learned. If you’ve spent time with neural nets or time trading in the markets, this is likely a useful and interesting conversation for you.
Thomas can share and answer questions about best practices; lessons learned working with NN models; conjecture where models and markets are going, etc.
In particular, Thomas can speak about trading NN models with options but they really are applicable to any financial asset, whether its equities, futures, crypto, commodities, etc.
