A Private Tour of Gottlieb Native Garden in Coldwater Canyon for Our PNLC Group
Exciting news for next Sunday! Our friend Susan Gottlieb, the dedicated environmentalist and creator of the acclaimed Gottlieb Native Garden, has invited our PNLC Group back over for a rare personal tour!
For the last few decades, she has collected and nurtured countless California native trees, shrubs, and annuals, arranging them around unique water features cut into the dramatic slopes of her two-acre property in Coldwater Canyon — just the next canyon over from our own!
To quote her website www.gottliebnativegarden.com: “The Gottlieb Native Garden is a flourishing California native plant ecosystem located just a couple of miles from Rodeo Drive in the heart of Beverly Hills. The garden’s ecosystem is home to more than i200 hand-selected native plant species and over 1500 documented wildlife species. It has the special distinction of being both a National Wildlife Federation certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat and a Xerces Society designated Pollinator Habitat.”
Don’t miss this chance to see this spectacular garden and wildlife paradise -- we’ve never seen so many happy hummingbirds in one place!
Our last tour a few years back was in the summer — you should see this garden now in full winter growing mode! We guarantee you will find tons and tons of inspiration for your own native gardens.
We ran out of slots early last year so please register as soon as you can!
Please note:
This family-friendly tour will be held outdoors in a sunny, hillside garden, so flat shoes, sunscreen, and hats are recommended.
Save your registration confirmation QR code in a handy spot in your phone for us to scan.
We will have a table set up with beautiful photography books authored by Susan and her late husband on topics related to their garden full of California native plants and wildlife. Your purchases will help to support the ongoing work there!
Tickets are free but your voluntary donation for this exclusive tour will be 100% donated to the Theodore Payne Foundation(suggested: $25 to $60).
See you in front of Susan’s residence at 2pm on Sunday, 18th of January. If you would like to carpool from Elaine’s garden gate on Lookout Mountain, just hit reply here and let us know!
