Statewide End of the Year Environmental Movement Community (EMC) Meeting
Dear Community Watchdogs and Environmental Advocates,
Join us for the first Statewide Environmental Movement Community Meeting!
I’m reaching out to invite you to our next Statewide Environmental Movement Community (EMC) Meeting — an exciting opportunity to build collective power and strengthen Pennsylvania’s environmental justice movement.
I serve as the Policy and Program coordinator for Physicians for Social Responsibility Pennsylvania (PSR PA), and act as co-coordinator of the Environmental Movement Community. I’m honored to support the continued development and work of the EMC — a statewide effort uniting community leaders, impacted residents, environmental advocates, and grassroots organizers to hold the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) accountable and protect the health and wellbeing of all Pennsylvanians.
Across our Commonwealth, communities are confronting environmental harms — from air and water contamination to industrial pollution and inadequate enforcement of existing rules. The EMC aims to connect these local struggles into a coordinated statewide network where we can share experiences, track progress, and push for meaningful change.
Our Environmental Movement Community meetings are organized around the PA DEP Districts, but this gathering will bring us together across regions to strengthen collaboration and amplify our shared voice. We want to hear directly from you about your community’s concerns and priorities — your ideas and advocacy drive this movement.
