Desire Lines Braiding Workshop

​In architecture, desire lines indicate where people want to walk, rather than where they are expected to walk. In the DESIRE LINES hair braiding workshop, Angel Edwards takes this architectural concept to heart with their braiding practice of the same name. This workshop aims to keep the cultural, ancestral, and communal practice of hair braiding alive by teaching attendees how to braid their own hair. Angel recommends coming with washed and sectioned hair, but encourages folks to come as they are.

​This event is pay what you can. If you have access to it, consider donating more than the $10 ticket to support the work of Angel and the HOMEPLACE programming team.
