ABOUT THE IMPOWER SYMPOSIUM
The IMPOWER Symposium is University Lab Partners’ premier biannual celebration of student innovation, scientific discovery, and life science career exploration. Held each Fall and Spring, this dynamic event brings together more than 200 students, educators, industry professionals, and community partners for an unforgettable evening celebrating the next generation of life science leaders.
Students take center stage as they showcase their research and ideas through poster presentations, connect directly with professionals across the life sciences, and gain insight from inspiring guest speakers and industry leaders. The Symposium is more than a showcase of student work—it is a space for meaningful conversations, mentorship, networking, and the exploration of future opportunities in science and biotechnology.
The evening culminates with the announcement of the Poster Competition winners, recognizing outstanding student achievement in scientific understanding, communication, creativity, and presentation.
Come celebrate curiosity, innovation, and the incredible potential of the next generation of scientists.
ABOUT ULP
University Lab Partners is an Orange County–based nonprofit dedicated to providing hands-on, industry-aligned life science education through IMPOWER. IMPOWER students spend weeks developing technical skills, conducting professional laboratory experiments, and exploring scientific questions using many of the same techniques and technologies found in academic and industry biotechnology labs.
The IMPOWER Symposium is the culmination of this work—a celebration and showcase where students share their research, demonstrate what they have learned, and connect with the broader life science community.
